Municipal Merger Discussions with Lower Alsace Township
Background
Over the past few years, the discussion of a Municipal Merger with Lower Alsace Township has come up more than once. The high water mark of these discussions occurred in 2014 when a merger referendum was placed on the ballot. In November 2023, Lower Alsace Township and Mt. Penn Borough adopted resolutions to enter discussions of a municipal merger.
