PROHIBITION ON OUTDOOR BURNING NOW IN EFFECT
The Borough of Mount Penn is a public agency and subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Right to Know Act. The “Request for Access to Public Records” is available below and is also available in the administrative office at Borough Hall.
What Are the Requirements?
All requests must be made in writing, verbally (in person or telephonically), or by facsimile. The Right To Know Request Form and Official RTKL Fee Schedule can be downloaded below.
Our Borough Secretary is designated as the Borough’s Open Record’s Officer. Requests for access to public records shall be directed to the Borough Secretary at the Borough of Mount Penn, 200 North 25th Street, Reading, PA 19606.
When a request is received for access to public records the Borough will make a determination within five (5) business days of receipt of request, to grant or deny request.
The person or entity requesting the information will be promptly notified of the Borough’s decision. At that time, granted requests will be arranged to be picked up at the Borough Hall to include required payment.
The Borough of Mount Penn does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities. Complaints or requests for modification/accommodation to access a program, service or activity may be directed to borough council at 200 North 25th Street, Reading, PA.
