Hello, Borough of Mount Penn! My name is Troy Goodman, and I am the Borough Council President. I have lived in the borough for 24 years. Some of you might know me from coaching youth football or coaching youth basketball and running the youth basketball program for the Antietam area. A little about myself: I spent eight years in the Marine Corps Reserve and was a combat veteran of the Gulf War from 1990 to 1991. I was a welder by trade. In 2002, I was medically retired from service-connected illnesses related to the Gulf War. I was elected in 2018 and then again in 2022. I have been council president since 2020.
It is an honor to serve the borough, and I will continue to do my best!

I have been a Mt. Penn Borough resident since 2000, a Lower Alsace resident prior, and an Antietam School District graduate (1994). My wife and three children are also Antietam School District alumni, and I have a grandchild currently attending. My roots in this community run deep. I’ve been involved in our youth sports programs for many years and coached at the middle school level. I have worked within the streets department at 2 of our neighboring communities. I was elected to Mt. Penn Borough Council in the 2022 General Election. While serving on the Council during the past years, I have learned so much about our Borough, from the basic daily operations to the struggles of trying to make sense of dollars in and dollars out.
I look forward to continuing to serve the community.
